Turning Challenges into Opportunities by Resilience

Turning Challenges into Opportunities by Resilience
Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress.

Resilient people acknowledge difficult situations, keep calm and evaluate things rationally so they can make a plan and act. Steve Maraboli once said “Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving; we get stronger and more resilient”. Remember even the highest mountain can be surmounted by building winding pathways.

Every person has obstacles in their life. How they overcome them determines their success. Difficulties and challenges are inevitable throughout your life, choosing a defeatist attitude and allowing yourself to be beaten is always optional. The only difference between “PERCIEVED FAILURE” and a “HIDDEN OPPORTUNITY” is your belief about and your attitude toward challenges, obstacles and failure.

Building Resilience is a simple 3-step system.

Accept Challenges –

Accept Challenges

Your future is never dependent on what happens to you, but rather how you respond to what happens to you. Resilient people view a difficulty as a challenge, not as a paralyzing event. They look at their failures and mistakes as lessons to be learned from, and as opportunities for growth. They don’t view them as a negative reflection on their abilities or self-worth.

Stay Committed –

Stay Committed

Resilient people are confident that they’re going to succeed eventually, despite the setbacks or stresses that they might be facing. They are committed to their solid goals, and have desire to achieve those goals. Commitment isn’t just restricted to their work – they commit to their relationships, their friendships, the causes they care about, and their religious or spiritual beliefs.

Take action –

Take action

Resilient people never think of themselves as victims –they spend their time and energy focusing on situations and events that they have control over. Because they put their efforts where they can have the most impact, they feel empowered and confident. Those who spend time worrying about uncontrollable events can often feel lost, helpless, and powerless to take action.

"Fill today with your hopes and dreams and don’t waste a moment on yesterday, it is gone forever".
